Behind the Needle: Josh Ringeisen

Josh Ringeisen is a Milwaukee-based tattoo artist and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, bringing the same discipline and precision from his time in service to every piece he creates.

Working primarily out of Positronic Tattoo, he specializes in bold, clean linework built to hold up for decades, not just look good on day one. Josh believes tattooing is a partnership, he takes the time to understand what a piece means to a client before the needle ever touches skin. Whether it's a first tattoo or an addition to years of collected work, his approach stays the same: no shortcuts, no rushed sessions, just honest craftsmanship.

When he's not in the chair, you'll likely find him deep in research on his next build, whether that's a design concept or something entirely unrelated to ink.
